Our storyBohmer Construction was founded in 2009 in the Comox Valley and has proudly grown into a trusted, locally owned and operated construction company. Over the years, our team has completed a wide variety of projects throughout the community, including home renovations, additions, carriage homes, commercial office renovations, bridge repairs, and more.
As a small, family-run business, we believe the people behind each project are just as important as the work itself. We recognize that every project — big or small — is most successful when it is supported by a strong, dependable team that shares our company’s core values. KyleLead Carpenter
Kyle has been a valued part of our team since 2019 and is now our lead carpenter. With many years of hands-on experience, strong work ethic and attention to detail, Kyle plays an important role on our team. Kyle takes pride in understanding each clients, needs, wants and vision for their project. He knows that each project is personal and works hard to ensure the finished result is exactly as the client envisioned. 
DevonJourneyman
Devon is a skilled Journeyman Carpenter that brings a positive attitude and friendly demeanour to every project. Devon has been an excellent addition to our team since joining us in 2023. His up-beat personality makes him a pleasure to work along side. |
RodneyApprentice
Rodney has over a decade of experience in the industry. He has been with Bohmer Construction since 2017. Rodney exemplifies strong work ethic with a sharp eye for detail. Rodney can handle any task thrown his way. Rodneys many years of hands-on experience makes him an integral part of out team. 
WyattApprentice
Wyatt is a second-year apprentice who joined the Bohmer Construction team in 2025. Since coming on board, he has demonstrated an incredible work ethic, a positive attitude, and a strong drive to learn and grow within the trade. Wyatt approaches each day with enthusiasm and a willingness to take on new challenges. He is always eager to learn from the experienced carpenters around him, ask questions, and continue developing his skills. |
Jake Bohmer became a Red Seal certified Journeyman Carpenter in 2009. Jake's consistent ambition and desire to operate his own business led him to take business classes at North Island College while working full time. Now, with over fifteen years of experience in the industry, Jake is known by his peers and colleagues to be intelligent, resourceful and creative.
Sherri Bohmer is a Managing Partner at Bohmer Construction. Sherri received her BBA in Marketing with Distinction from Vancouver Island University in 2012. Sherri is knowledgeable in many aspects of the trade, including design ideas, product choices and project management. Sherri is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and brings these skills to each of our projects. These qualities make Sherri an important asset to our company.
We appreciate that our customers are the backbone of our company. Our main goal is to leave every client happy, satisfied and certain that the project was completed to their expectations. We achieve this by having competent and motivated staff members who are Journeymen or Apprentices and we only use licensed sub-contractors. It is this standard of practice that helps us to grow our customer base every year.
